Kaş, which is founded on the ancient Antiphelos in the Middle Lykia, is one of the famous coast towns of the Mediterranean. The meaning of Kaş, ‘stony place’, is ‘Phellos’ in Greek. It is located in a peninsula, reaching out to sea by curling, on a rocky land. In this coast town which is worthy to seen only graves from rock, monuments and the theatre have remained from the Lykian.
If it is wished to go by airway, after landing on the Dalaman Airport, first Fethiye and then Kaş can be visited. The distance between Kaş and Dalaman is 160 kilometers.
Kaş is 210 kilometres far away to Antalya. If you wish to go by highway from Antalya to Kaş by using the coastline you will pass through Kemer, Kumluca, Finike and Derme. In the road between the mountains there are bends and inclines but also wonderful trees that you cannot be satiated with watching and here you will choose the Korkuteli - Elmalı route. To come from the Muğla - Fethiye highway you will pass through Kalkan.
